Wrapped In His Love

I stood before the King of Kings

He looked at me with love in His eyes
I wandered how HE could love me so
I wondered why He could admire me so
I looked again at my wretchedness
Shocked myself into speechlessness
There I stood before His Majesty
My tattered clothes replaced
By the most regal garment ever seen
A garment of love, a garment of His unfailing love.

Suddenly it all made sense

He looked at me with love
Because I was wrapped in His love.
Love was all that could be seen
Of what was once a wretched being.
Suddenly it all made sense
He looked at me with admiration
Because I was clothed with His beauty
I had become a reflection of His glorious self
How could He not love Himself?

I had become Him

He had become me
A melding of two beings into one
The more I gazed in His eyes
The more I saw myself in His love
A once wretched soul like mine
Has won the place of pride in the heart of the King
Not because I made it so
Not because I willed it so
But because He loved me so
And wrapped me in His love.
I am wrapped me in His love!
